2018 - 19 Family Engagement Survey

WELCOME!

In 2005, Georgia PTA and several partners hosted a statewide survey that asked the question - how does the parent involvement in your child's school measure up? Since then, a full report and an executive summary were provided on the results from 3,963 respondents, and shared in schools, education agencies, and legislators across our state. The reports were utilized as a basis for PTAs, local schools, and school districts to frame the conversation around this vitally important topic and to develop and strengthen plans to engage more parents.

As an opportunity to measure the accomplishments, successes, and shortcomings of family engagement initiatives in our schools and early learning environments, Georgia PTA is pleased to partner with United Way of Greater Atlanta, Strong Fathers.Strong Families, and Watch D.O.G.S to launch this updated research.

This survey focuses on the same questions asked in 2005, but also includes additional questions on early learning environments, male involvement, and the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) compliance commitment to family engagement mandated for local schools and school districts. Although this survey is entitled "Family Engagement," it is aimed at anyone who is involved in a child's education, including any adult who plays an important role in a child's upbringing and well-being.
