SVSU Art Alumni Show

The University Art Gallery at Saginaw Valley State University is hosting the SVSU Art Department Alumni Show, featuring work from alums who have earned a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art, Visual Art Education, or Graphic Design. The exhibition will be held on October 10 - 31 with a reception on October 18, 4 - 6 pm.

Eligibility
The SVSU Art Department Alumni Show is open to any SVSU Art Department Alumni who has earned a BA or a BFA in majors offered by the Art Department (Art, Visual Art Education, or Graphic Design) prior to the Fall 2018 semester. All two-dimensional work must be professionally framed and ready to hang, three-dimensional work must be pedestal or wall stable. Works requiring a computer or other electronic device for display will not be accepted unless all equipment is supplied by the artist. Entries cannot be larger than five feet (60") in any dimension, including entries with multiple parts (diptych, triptych, installations, etc.).

Entry Procedure
To be considered for the exhibition, artists must fill out the entry form below. Please provide contact information, how you would prefer for your name to be presented during the exhibition, your year of graduation, and details about the work submitted. Provide the title, medium, dimensions (height x width x depth in inches), date created and the value of the work. If the work is not for sale, list NFS. After submitting the form, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail you provided on the form. Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and every effort will be made to include all applicants. Participation may be limited due to the number of entries and/or space limitations, thank you for your understanding. The entry form will be available until September 16, 2018 at 11:59 pm.

Sales
There will be no commission retained by the University Art Gallery. Potential sales will be directed to the artist.

Work Delivery & Pick Up
Accepted works must be delivered to the Gallery between October 6 and October 8 by appointment only, and picked up between November 1 - 2, again, by appointment only. Appointments can be made through replying to your notification e-mail once received. 

For those who are shipping the deadline is also October 8. All packages must include return shipping and installation instructions as needed. Shipped artwork will be returned to the artist the week of November 3.

Liability
Although extreme care will be taken with all entries, the University Art Gallery, Art Department, or Saginaw Valley State University are not responsible for loss or damage. Submission of works implies agreement to all conditions of this entry form including permission to photograph accepted works for publicity. Artwork not picked up by November 9 or other prearranged and agreed upon time will be disposed of at the discretion of the University Art Gallery. By fully completing the entry form, the Artist is bound to these terms.
