2018 Response Rate Study


This 2018 Response Rate Survey asks for data about the performance and cost of email, direct mail, search, display, and social. If you complete this survey, you will receive a top-line summary of results useful for benchmarking your direct marketing efforts. 

As you take this survey, please respond with information that represents the performance of an average campaign.

  1. If you are an agency, enter the average results you achieve for a client. If results vary by industry, focus on the most common client industry.
  2. If you are a marketer, enter the results for a representative campaign.
  3. If you are a supplier, enter the results from one of your own, representative campaigns.

Participants who complete the survey and provide us with a valid work email address will receive a $5 Starbucks Card when the study concludes. All individual responses will be held confidential and reported only in aggregate with the replies of others. If you have any questions or comments, please email
