The City of Meridian is updating its Comprehensive Plan, which will guide future growth and development within the City over the next ten to twenty years. The Comprehensive Plan update is an 18-month initiative that engages the public in defining a shared vision for the future of Meridian. The purpose of the Comprehensive Plan is to integrate the concerns and expressions of the community into a document that guides the City on how to grow and develop. It has been 8 years since the last major Comprehensive Plan update, and 16 years since the last new Plan. Meridian has grown rapidly since then, by more than 25,000 in the last five years, and 40,000 in the last 10 years. Most of the people living in Meridian today have never been meaningfully involved in the Comprehensive Plan update process. Now is the time to revisit and re-envision the desired future of Meridian.
The update process is currently in its initial stages, and we are looking to you for important feedback on values, issues, and opportunities that will ultimately help inform the direction and outcome of the Plan.
