2019 DHS Scholarship Application: On-site Basic Forensic Interview Training

Instructions

Thank you for your interest in hosting a 3.5-day On-site CornerHouse Basic Forensic Interview Training!  The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) funds one scholarship that covers the cost of the training fees.  The host site is responsible for all registration processes for participants, recruitment of participants, logistical arrangements (such as providing an appropriate training site), and some additional costs, such as the trainer's travel, lodging, and meals.

Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:
  1. The host site must be in the state of Minnesota.  DHS scholarships are not available to organizations or groups from other states or countries.
  2. A complete, timely application form.  Applications that are incomplete or late will not be considered.
  3. DHS requires that CornerHouse give priority to applications from individuals or teams from Minnesota counties with a low ratio of CornerHouse-trained forensic interviewers to county population (2010 census).
Estimated time to gather information required to complete this application: 1 hour.
Estimated time to fill in this application: 25-30 minutes.

If you have questions or concerns about the application process, please contact the CornerHouse Training Program Manager at 612-813-8310 or e-mailing melissa.henry@childrensmn.org.
