A few important features you should know about the proposed school :

Catholic Identity: The Catholic identity of the Cathedral high school will be strong and visible throughout all aspects of the school's life.  Daily Mass, individual and communal prayer, emphasis on vocational discernment, works of mercy, and required courses each year in Catholic theology and liturgical studies are the building blocks of the new school's identity.  The high school will provide a superior and rigorous education faithful to the teachings of the Catholic church in all aspect of the educational process.  The goal is to develop the spiritual and intellectual potential of each student and form them in a sacramental worldview through mind, body, and spirit.  Students will be encouraged and supported in their development into integral Catholic leaders in our world today.

Grades: Provide a competitive, quality coeducational program for 9th through 12th grade.

Location: The high school would be housed at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Walsingham in Spring Branch (7809 Shadyvilla Ln, Houston, TX 77055).

Academics and Student Life: The new high school's excellent and accredited curriculum will deliver solid preparation for a life dedicated to God and service in the Church, further university studies, and future career work.  This school will be known for its strong Catholic identity, high academic achievement, and comprehensive "Four Pillars" approach: sacred worship, sacred wisdom, sacred music and sacred art.

Tuition and Fees: For the survey, assume tuition would be approximately $15,000 (in 2018 dollars) for the 1st child when the school opens, inclusive of all school fees.  Scholarship and need-based financial assistance will be offered to families who qualify.

Enrollment: Expected enrollment, is no more than 150 to 200 students, making each grade size approximately 35 to 40 students per grade level (academic class sizes would be smaller, about 18 to 22 students).

Timeline: If the market study results are positive, the school will open with 9th grade and add grades progressively every year until it reaches capacity at 12th grade.  For the purpose of the survey assume the school will be open for your child(ren).

Thank you in advance for your thoughtful response to all the survey questions.
