Volunteer for an SSC Subcommittee

The Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) is a permanent committee of the ISTH and the scientific working arm that handles the ongoing, scientific work of the Society. The SSC is composed of 20 Subcommittees that each tackle a specific problem related to thrombosis, disorders of hemostasis and their underlying vascular biology.

Each Subcommittee has a Chairman and up to 6 Co-Chairmen who have significant expertise in the Subcommittee's area of interest. The Chair and Co-Chairs are responsible for overseeing the Subcommittee's projects on standardization, nomenclature and guidance. In addition to the 7 Subcommittee members, many other experts contribute to the projects and work of each Subcommittee.

Each year, following the annual meeting, some Co-Chairmen rotate off each Subcommittee, giving new experts an opportunity to serve on a Subcommittee. Kindly complete the form below to express interest in participating on a Subcommittee. Please note there are a limited number of positions available and there is no guarantee of selection for a position.

According to the SSC Rules and Guidelines, an ISTH member may only serve on one SSC Subcommittee at a time.
