International Professional Award 2019 Application

Are you a full-time SAS professional who has never attended SAS Global Forum (except as a student) and work and reside outside of the 48 contiguous United States?  You may qualify the International Professional Award! 

To encourage attendance of members from the international SAS users’ community, the SAS Global Users Group is offering a limited number of International Professional (IP) Awards for SAS Global Forum 2019. 

To be eligible for an International Professional award, you must: 
  • Be a full-time SAS professional who works and resides outside the 48 contiguous states within the United States. 
  • Have never attended a SAS Global Forum (except as a student).
  • Would not otherwise be able to attend the 2019 conference.
  • Submit an abstract for an E-Poster, Quick Tip, or Breakout Session to be eligible for:
    • 4 nights at the conference hotel
    • Travel expenses (airfare, transportation) up to $1,000 (USD)

What is covered for the International Professional award:  
  • Waived conference registration fee, including conference meals (up to $1495 value)
  • One free pre-conference tutorial (up to $155 value)
  • If abstract accepted, eligible for 4 nights at the conference hotel and travel expenses up to $1,000 (USD)

How to apply for the International Professional award: 
  • If submitting an abstract, must be submitted by Oct. 22, 2018
  • Submit an application by Jan. 30, 2019
  • Applicants will be notified no later than Feb. 18, 2019

18. If I receive this award, I agree to attend the entire duration of the conference (April 28-May 1, 2019).  *This question is required.
19. I understand that I am expected to serve as a SAS Global Forum volunteer during the conference (two-hour time commitment) as part of this award. *This question is required.
20. I acknowledge that travel expenses (including airfare, transportation and hotel) are not provided and will be my own responsibility.  If awarded and an abstract is accepted, travel expenses up to $1,000 (USD) and 4 nights expenses are provided. *This question is required.
By submitting your application, you understand and agree that SAS may in its discretion share the information contained in your submission with third parties, including but not limited to SAS Global Forum Executive Board Members and other members of the SAS Global Forum community, for purposes of evaluating candidates and selecting winners for the award and in order to contact you regarding your submission.
