Title IX Training

In an ongoing effort to foster a civil and safe college environment, and as recommended by the Bristol Community College Board of Trustees, the College is providing training to all employees on Title IX and Bristol’s policies. Title IX is a federal civil rights law governing sexual harassment and assault in educational settings. It is important that each member of our community understand how this law impacts each of us. In addition, this training is an important step in the college’s efforts to provide all students, employees and visitors to the college an environment where all individuals feel safe and respected. As you know, Bristol Community College is requiring all employees to attend Title IX training. All faculty and staff who have not previously participated in this training must attend.  This includes part-time and hourly employees, as well as those enrolled in work study.

If you were one of the many faculty and staff who attended a previous training, taught by Hamish Blackman and requiring that you sign in and/or sign out, you do not need to attend again. Those sessions were conducted at the January 22, 2018 Professional Day, on June 20, 2018, at the Adjunct Professional Day on August 25, 2018, and on October 18, 2018.
