2018 City Planning Academy

The City Planning Academy will provide residents a closer look at how the City of Fort Collins manages development.

Over the course of four interactive sessions, the City Planning Academy will give participants a clearer understanding of Fort Collins’ development policy, history, and how residents can engage throughout the planning process. Each class will build upon the previous sessions, culminating in a mock hearing.

To be considered for the City Planning Academy you must live within the Fort Collins Growth Management Area (GMA); priority is given to applicants who will attend all four classes. If necessary, participants will be selected through a drawing.
