Internship Supervisor Instructions

It is the intent of this agreement that PGA Golf Management students will fulfill assigned responsibilities and be provided the opportunity to be involved and acquire knowledge of the operation and organization of the golf facility.

The student intern named above is enrolled in the PGA Golf Management Program (PGA/PGM) at the University of Idaho. The student participates in training on campus, but is required to complete additional curriculum requirements during the internship. A complete list of Level 3 PGA/PGM areas can be found below. Each student has completed different sections of the Level 3 curriculum. Please communicate with the internship coordinator or the student about which of the following sections you will be asked to assist the student with during their internship. If you see any reason the student cannot complete this work or feel this work assignment will not expose the student to these areas, please contact the PGA Golf Management office at 208-885-9773.

Due to the nature of the program, the facility should accommodate the student with the resources necessary to enhance their play ability, including the range, golf course, and other amenities. Please contact the PGA Golf Management office if you need additional information on PGA/PGM or the internship supervisor's responsibility.

Students shall conduct themselves as employees of the training station. Usual or traditional work hours shall be observed, absence or alternations in working arrangements shall be cleared with the supervisory, and requirements for dress and conduct shall be adhered to. If for any reason the progress or conduct of the student becomes unsatisfactory, or if difficulty in the training program arises, the coordinator of the PGA Golf Management Program at the University of Idaho shall be notified as soon as possible.
