North Wales Precept Survey 2019/20

Arfon Jones, North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner

Keeping North Wales a safe place to work, live and visit is everyone’s concern, and especially mine as the Police and Crime Commissioner for the area.  Your views are important in assisting me to determine the budget for 2018/19, specifically whether the precept should increase.

North Wales Police has already made £31m of cuts in the period between April 2011 to March 2019. In the next few years more cuts will follow, to meet additional cost pressures of around £20m by 2022/23. This means the police will have to change the way they work, we need to relook at our priorities and how they can be delivered.

Your views will also assist me in reviewing my Police and Crime Plan for next year. The Police and Crime Plan sets the strategic direction for North Wales Police, Community Safety Partnerships and other organisations dedicated to reducing crime and safeguarding our communities.

I will use your feedback to inform my discussions with the Chief Constable in agreeing the precept with the Police and Crime Panel for North Wales.

May I please have your responses by 14/01/2019.
