Consent for Participation in a Research Project
Title: Perceptions of religious beliefs and behaviors

You are hereby invited to be a participant in a research study on the judgments of personal and God's character, behaviors and beliefs. You may only take part in this study if you are at least 18 years old.
Background Information and Purpose of this Study: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the judgments of personal character and the character of God.
Procedures: If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to answer some questions of a personal nature, including questions about your sociosexual orientation, personality, and religious beliefs.
Time: Typically, this kind of study should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Risks and Benefits: There are no significant risks or costs involved in this study. There are no direct benefits to participating.
Confidentiality: The records of this study will be kept strictly confidential. It will be impossible to link your answers to your person, and all data will be stored on password-protected servers behind locked doors accessible only to the researchers associated with this study.
Voluntary Nature of the Study: This study is completely voluntary. Declining to participate will have no negative consequences. If you choose to take part in this study, you are free to quit at any time with no penalty whatsoever.
