St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center is seeking committed Christian Naturalists for the Spring of 2022 and the 2022-2023 school year with the Barrier Island Environmental Education Program.  St. Christopher is run by The Anglican Diocese of South Carolina and is located 25 miles south of Charleston on Seabrook Island. The campus includes nearly one mile of beach, 100 acres of salt marsh, 200 acres of undisturbed maritime forest, two freshwater ponds, and a freshwater swamp. The season will provide an opportunity to not only gain valuable environmental education experience, but also learn how to be a minister through all walks of life.

Position Duration:
Currently hiring for Spring 2022 (January 10, 2022 - May 14, 2022)
AND Full Season 2022-2023 (August 15, 2022 - May 12, 2023)


Responsibilities:
Teach and lead day and evening classes on beach, dune, salt marsh and maritime forest ecosystems.  Other topics of study include herpetology, ornithology, orienteering and team-building.  Assist in weekly work teams including: Herpetarium, Aquarium, grounds/trails, garden or curriculum and other programs as assigned. Additional opportunities for weekend work with other programs for additional pay.  Weekly attendance to the staff Bible study, prayer and worship meetings is required.

Requirements:
BA/BS in education or biology/environmental science related fields is ideal, but all majors are accepted. An interest in teaching elementary and middle school aged students and a strong committed love for Jesus is of utmost importance.

Pay & Benefits:
$285/week
Beach-Side Housing (individual room) and food provided
WiFi throughout house
