19-05 Workshop on Nonlinear Dispersive Partial Differential Equations and Inverse Scattering (May 21-24, 2019)

Workshop on Nonlinear Dispersive Partial Differential Equations and Inverse Scattering (May 21-24, 2019) - Funding Assistance Form

The purpose form is to encourage PhD student participation in the event by partially funding the travel costs of PhD students who would otherwise be unable to attend. Depending on fund availability, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers (10 years from PhD) will also be considered for travel support.

This opportunity is possible through a grant from the Fields Institute and the Simons Foundation. Note that awardees will need to pay for their expenses ahead of time and get reimbursed after the conference. Only PhD students, postdocs, and early career researchers are eligible for travel support.

In selecting attendees for travel support, preference will be given to PhD students who and presenting a poster and/or who are in the early stages of their PhD studies without alternate means of support. Applicants are expected to show evidence of a serious interest in the event's subject matter, as demonstrated by coursework and project experience. We particularly encourage the participation of women and members of underrepresented minorities.
