TN Chapter, ACS Advocacy Day / Stop the Bleed Event

The TN Chapter, ACS, with the help of Representative John Ray Clemmons. is promoting legislation in the upcoming General Assembly Session to require the placement of Stop the Bleed kits in all public schools in TN.

To promote the legislation and increase awareness of the importance of Stop the Bleed training, please join your colleagues for the 2019 Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (TNACS) Advocacy Day on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, in Nashville.

Legislators and their staff members will be invited to attend Stop the Bleed training on Tuesday, February 5, from 9:00 am – 11:30 am and to pick up a box lunch.

We will start the day with attendees delivering reminder invitations to their legislators and a brief visit if that can be scheduled. Also, attendees will have the opportunity during the event to mingle with legislators as they come in for training and to pick up lunch. Any opportunity to build relationships and discuss matters of importance for surgical care should not be missed!
