15 Scholarships Available for Editors to Attend Mega-Conference

Editors and others who are responsible for growing audience through social media are encouraged to apply for a scholarship to attend the 2019 Mega Conference ($895 value) being held at the Paris Las Vegas. 
 
The Facebook Journalism Project is offering 15 scholarships to eligible newsroom employees such as editors, social media managers and audience development managers. The scholarship winners will be expected to attend the Audience and Subscriber Management Session on Monday, Feb. 25 from 8:30 AM – Noon and they are also welcome to stay for the entire conference that will feature many sessions applicable to the newsroom. The scholarships do not include air, hotel or most meal costs. Breakfast will be available in the Exhibit Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.  A group lunch will be provided on Tuesday.
 
At least half of the scholarships will be awarded to a diverse mix of under-represented candidates based on race, ethnicity, age (35 and under), disability, etc. as well as those who work at smaller media companies (outside of the top 25 markets). Only one scholarship per company will be awarded.
