2019 CLINIC Partial to Full Accredited Representative Initiative

Update on 5/10/2019 - This application is still open, but those who apply after 5/10/2019 will be placed on a waiting list and only contacted in the case that space in the initiative opens.

Thank you for your interest in participating in CLINIC's Partial to Full Representative Initiative. Please fill out this participant application by May 10, 2019, space in this program is limited. We will be screening for a number of factors to prioritize candidates who are most likely to apply for full accreditation and represent an immigrant in immigration court within three months of obtaining full accreditation. A member of CLINIC staff will contact you by May 15, 2019 to let you know if your application was accepted. 8.  Are these individuals able to complete the entire program curriculum between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020? The curriculum will include:
  • Arranging mentorship on removal defense and court skills training by available attorneys and full accredited representatives with experience in representing non-citizens in immigration court;
  • Attending a kickoff webinar about the project;
  • Listening to 5 recorded webinars;
  • Attending a master calendar hearing and posting court observations;
  • Reading applicable materials;
  • Participating in exercises and discussion forums;
  • Reviewing sample case file in preparation for in-person court skills training;
  • Completing and submitting Case Assessment exercise;
  • Attending a 3-day in-person court skills training (tentatively scheduled for 9/11/2019-9/13/2019 in Nashville, Tennessee); and
  • Preparing and submitting application for full accreditation to OLAP. 
  • After approval for full accreditation, talking the first court case.
  • Within three months of obtaining full accreditation, reporting the date and type of case and submitting a story of the impact of achieving this credential.
