Extended Children's Corps 2019 Application

Thank you for your interest in Children’s Corps and child welfare work!  We are excited to review your application. Please read the important instructions below to help you in completing the application. It can take 1 - 2 hours to complete the application in its entirety. 

You will only be able to move forward (not backward) through this application. You can save your application and continue working on it at a later time. Just click on the prompt at the top of any page and follow the directions. Take your time and proofread each page before moving on. It can

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree by June 2019.
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent residency status, or valid U.S. work authorization. 
  • You are not eligible if:
    • You apply twice in the same application year.
    • You are enrolled in a Graduate program for the next fall. The first year of Children's Corps requires a full-time commitment to the work with families and should not compete with the responsibilities of a graduate program.

Application Tips:
  • Read through every webpage in the Children's Corps menu on our website, check out the Children’s Corps blog, and review the Realistic Job Preview.
  • Be genuine and thoughtful in your responses.  We don’t want to know just your credentials or prior experience, we also want to get a sense of who you are.
  • PROOFREAD! Or have someone else read over your application.
*Please note that upon entering Children's Corps, and as an agreement of being a part of the Corps, your application will be shared with a Children's Corps partner agency who will become your direct employer.  

Required Documents for Interview: You will be required to submit the following documents, ONLY IF YOU ARE SELECTED FOR AN INTERVIEW:
  • 3 letters of recommendation (at least one must be professional, others may be academic)
  • Transcript  (unofficial transcripts will suffice until our final selection of candidates is made)
**It is important to make sure you have people you can call upon to write a recommendation with a quick turnaround. Should you get an interview, you will have to have these documents submitted timely (prior to your interview).
