Expression of interest: Piloting potential of analysing case notes to assist social workers

The What Works Centre for Children's Social Care, in partnership with the Office of the Children's Commissioner, is looking for local authority partners to embark on a series of pilot studies to explore the use of predictive analytics in Children's Social Care. Our aim is to try and better understand the strengths and limitations of this approach, as well as to consider the ethics of this use.

Participation will involve:
- Making case note and outcome data voluntarily available to the What Works Centre.
- Completing the necessary Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Sharing Agreements in a timely manner (we will support this process).
- Allowing us to anonymise data on-site and analyse on a secure system off-site or, allowing us to both anonymise and analyse data on-site (we will discuss these options with you).
- Potentially attending occasional workshops to explore the results of the analysis.
