2019 CPIA Council Application

CPIA Council Application

The CPIA Council, responsible for managing the CPIA® credential program, is seeking candidates for a Council membership position to begin in May 2019. Eligible candidates must be CPIAs in good standing and able to serve on Council for up to a three-year term (with an option to renew).

Council membership requires full participation in Council activities. Members are expected to attend an annual two-day business meeting,  in which eligibility guidelines, recertification guidelines, and other matters related to CPIA program management are discussed. In odd years the length of this meeting may be extended so that the CPIA examination form can be reviewed and revised as necessary.

Most other Council activities, including but not limited to developing new exam questions, reviewing candidate eligibility and continuing education credits submitted for recertification, and service on Council subcommittees, are conducted through conference calls and email. The time commitment varies, but averages approximately five hours per month.

Every two years, members also participate in an item review session (an initial review of prospective test questions); this meeting may be conducted either virtually or require a two-day in-person meeting. Such a meeting is expected to take place in 2019. CPIA Council members are volunteers and are not paid; however, allowable expenses are reimbursed.

Applications, including two letters of recommendation, must be submitted via this form by April 12, 2019.  Questions should be directed to certification@primr.org. Thank you!
