SPECIAL EVENTS PERMIT APPLICATION

Please apply for your permit at least 4 weeks in advance. A fee of $100 will be charged if application is less than 15 business days in advance of the event date.

INCOMPLETE PERMIT APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
Note: This submittal must be accompanied by sufficient information for a plan review to determine compliance with the International Fire Code. This will allow corrections to be made during the planning phase prior to the start of the activity or project. Such information may include site plans, floor plans, manufacturers’ information, type and quantity of hazardous materials, etc. Incomplete or inadequate information may delay the permit processing. Some flammable liquid permits may require a SEPA (environmental) review and/or a Health Department permit.

OPERATIONAL AND CONSTRUCTION PERMITS: Pierce County Code 17C.60 Permit Fees: A Fee as specified in Table 17C.60-1 shall be charged for each required permit. Listed below are the most frequently requested permits. For a complete list of permits refer to Pierce County Code 17C.60.085.
25. OUTDOORS:
ITEMS REQUIRED:
  1. SITE PLAN: Show building footprints, easements, property lines, setbacks, access roads, fire hydrants, dimensions, storage areas, use or activity for various areas, parking areas, etc.
  2. FLOOR PLAN: Show building footprint, room divisions, area uses, dimensions in feet, storage placement, aisle ways, exits, placement of furniture and fixtures and spacing dimensions, locations of fire extinguishers, etc.

  3. CERTIFICATE OF FLAMMABILITY (for tents, etc.)

FEES
32. Will you require an after-hours inspection fee?
After-hours inspection fees are applied when the inspection is performed outside of our normal business hours which are 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday, not including holidays. $80.00 per hour with one hour minimum and to include travel time. To be determined by the inspector at conclusion of inspection. See Pierce County Code 17C.60.085.F for details. *This question is required.
