This test is intended to get a sense of your knowledge related to doing SAM monitoring. Prior to taking the exam, carefully review the course prerequisites and make sure you fully know the SAM monitoring protocols and can do the required species identification. You should also have a good understanding of the SAM process and cycle.
We expect that you will take this exam without assistance (by yourself) and with no reference materials (e.g. no books, notes, internet, etc.). If you take the test more than one time, you will be disqualified. For technical assistance, please contact titus.jefwa@TNC.ORG.
Each of the questions in the exam is worth 5 points. There are a total of 26 questions, so there are a total of 130 points.
The quiz is divided into four sections:
- SAM Knowledge - 3 Questions
- SAM Monitoring Protocols - 8 Questions
- MPA Knowledge - 6 Questions
- Species Identification - 9 Questions
NOTE: Once you click 'Next' Button you cannot go Back to the previous page. If you use the browser back arrow you will be exited from the test.
You will have 40 minutes to complete your exam. Please do not take too long on any one question as the test will time out after 40 minutes, and your answers will be submitted as is. Timer will start once you hit the 'Next' button.
