VRHS Safe2Tell Response April 4, 2019

VRHS Safe2Tell Investigation

Dear Vista Ridge High School Families,

Working closely with our law enforcement partners at the Colorado Springs Police Department, we are confidently closing the investigation into a Safe2Tell notification referring to VRHS. The D49 safety and security team along with CSPD interviewed an individual about a specific conversation that ultimately led to the submission of a Safe2Tell tip. The conclusion of that investigation is that there is no credible threat to the safety of students, staff or the campus at VRHS. Accordingly, VRHS will continue to operate on a normal schedule Friday, April 5.

The safety of our students, families and staff is one of our highest priorities. D49 is also committed to our culture and strategy of continuous improvement. We invite you to take a short survey about the communications released by District 49 during the incident at VRHS to help direct our outreach in the future.

We appreciate your trust, understanding and your feedback.
