Catchafire 2019-2020 Application

About Catchafire

Catchafire is an online platform that connects nonprofits with skilled volunteers on everything from retreat planning, membership strategy, graphic design projects, data collection planning, Salesforce training and proposal letter creation. Projects range from one-hour phone calls to projects that take several weeks to complete. You can find a full list of projects that can be completed through Catchafire here. One great feature of the platform is that nonprofits have the opportunity to choose the volunteer you feel is the best fit for your organization's needs. The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is giving a select number of nonprofits access to Catchafire for free. To be considered for free access, complete this form and update your Organizational Profile and Common Grant Application by Monday, May 20 at noon.

As part of the application, organizations will be asked to identify at least two people from your organization who will serves as the primary contacts for your Catchafire account if your organization is selects. These individuals will receive email updates about the Catchafire platform and webinar opportunities if your organization is selected to use the platform. (If the organization is not selected, only the request contact will be emailed.) It is recommended that you identify individuals who work in different departments or functions within your organization.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must have updated your Organizational Profile and Common Grant Application with the Community Foundation within the last 12 months. 
  • Must be located and providing services within the Foundation’s 23-county service area.
  • Must be classified by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the I.R.S. code as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, donations to which are deductible as charitable contributions under Section 170 (c)(2). The I.R.S. determination must be current.
  • Must be registered with the Georgia Secretary of State as a nonprofit (click here to verify).
If selected, how long will I have access?
Organizations will be notified about their application decision by July 15. Selected organizations will be given access to Catchafire from July 2019 through June 2019.
