19-06 Jun 10-28, 2019 - Focus Program on Applications of Noncommutative Functions - Funding Application

The purpose of this form is to allow all attendees including post-doctoral fellows and graduate students to be considered for financial support which will cover (partially) the travel and accommodation expenses related to the participation at the workshop. Preference will be given to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and junior researchers (within 10 years of the PhD).

Application Process

Applications for travel support should include the following: A cover letter, which gives a brief summary of research interests and accomplishments and describes the applicant's reason for wanting to attend the conference and mention qualification under the above preference criteria.

A CV, containing basic information such as degrees earned, current affiliations and list of publications. PhD students can include relevant coursework, projects, grades, and any other information that the student feels is relevant to support their application.

In addition, graduate students need to submit a a supporting letter from a current advisor. This should be only as long as necessary to convey the relevant information. It should confirm that the graduate student is in good standing and briefly describe the applicant's research area. It would also help if the letter could indicate how the applicant would benefit from attending the workshop and why the applicant is in need of a travel grant.

NOTE: All required files must be uploaded as *one PDF file*.
