Nursing Week is approaching fast!
Once again, the Nursing Care Committee (NCC) is contacting the leaders of all SEIU-West health care units (Chairs, Co-Chairs, Vice-Chairs, and Communicators) to ask if they want a little financial help to recognize the amazing Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) who work in their facilities.
Your NCC is offering the same reimbursement rate as last year based on the number of SEIU-West CCAs and LPNs in your unit.
Reimbursement breakdown based on the total size of your SEIU-West nursing team:
• Up to $40 for those units with up to 50 CCAs and LPNs
• Up to $65 for those units with between 51 and 100 CCAs and LPNs
• Up to $100 for those units with between 101 and 200 CCAs and LPNs
• Up to $125 for those units with over 200 CCAs and LPNs
In order to access this extra funding, you must submit your request through this survey by Monday, May 13, 2019.
In order to receive your reimbursement, you must return the original receipts attached to a member expense form by Friday, May 31, 2019. If you have run out of expense forms, please contact your nearest SEIU-West office.
Don’t forget to send us a picture of how your unit celebrated Nursing Week! We do share these images on social media and on our committee page, so please ensure that those in the picture are aware you are sharing it, and that no residents, clients, or patients are in the shot.
From May 5 to 12, 2019, SEIU-West will be running ads throughout the province celebrating our nursing teams. Also, on May 8 watch for a special CTV Morning Live (Saskatoon) interview with your President, Barbara Cape, at approximately 7:20 am.
