New Orleans - Music Strategy Survey

Sound Diplomacy, a global contributor to developing music strategies for cities, was hired by The New Orleans Music Economy Initiative (NOME) to develop a music strategy for the Greater New Orleans region that we hope will help grow and support the local music industry. Drawing from stakeholder feedback and global best practices, we will make recommendations that are inclusive and supportive of musicians and the industry professionals that grow their market, making it easier for them to not only create content but to understand and maximize music’s market value.

We sent out an introductory email explaining more about the project, and this survey is the next step in our research. By participating in this survey, you will help us better understand the local music economy. We want to not only make sure we identify the challenges and opportunities you face, but also consider what common goals can be reached in support of a sustainable local industry for all. Collectively, your answers will show the biggest trends and most common challenges artists and professionals face in New Orleans. This will help us to prioritize recommendations in the building of our music strategy.

Depending on your role in the local music scene, the survey will take between 5 and 20 min to complete.

Thank you for your time and participation!
