Hand-in-Hand Project Team Leader

AT&T Hand-in-Hand Summer Program - Project Team Leader Application - Due August 2

On August 6 & 7, a small team of tech-savvy student leaders entering grades 9-12 in the 2019-2020 academic year will be selected from public and charter schools in the Syracuse region to be trained as Project Team Leaders for a summer experience to design and make prosthetic hands at the CNY Biotech Accelerator. These high school students will receive training from collaborating partners in skills relating to: leadership, global and community service learning and technology skills. Their role will be to lead other middle and high school participants in teams. They will receive a paid scholarship.

The training will take place on August 6 and 7 and the location will be announced ASAP.  It will not be the CNY Biotech Accelerator for the Leaders training.

About this project: This project is facilitated by the CNY STEM Hub (CNY STEM) in partnership with AT&T and Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists. Collaborating partners are: Hill-Rom (Welch Allyn) and Partners for Education & Business.

Upon completion of the program, all participants will meet the recipients of their prosthetic hands in person or virtually.
