Chemical Transport Security Workshop in Philippines

Program Description

Health Security Partners (HSP) and the Chemical Industries Association of the Philippines (SPIK), are pleased to offer a three-day workshop on best practices in chemical transport security led by a group of international and domestic experts. The workshop is provided free of cost to the selected participants; additionally, HSP will support travel and lodging expenses for the participants. A certificate will be provided to participants who complete the workshop.

Eligibility: This workshop is limited to participants from the Mindanao Region in the Philippines. This workshop is designed for a combination of: (1) Managers in companies that manufacture or distribute hazardous chemicals; and (2) Managers in logistics providers who are involved in the transport of potentially hazardous chemicals. The workshop is limited to participants from companies in the Mindanao region and will be held 27-29 April 2020 in Cebu City. Working knowledge of English is essential to participate in the workshop.

Agenda: The workshop, led by a team of international and Philippine experts, will feature lectures, interactive case studies, and scenario-based discussion. Participants will gain the latest knowledge and training in chemical transport security, preparing them to implement best practices, while also improving safety and efficiency in the context of Responsible Care. The workshop will be delivered in English.
