Thank you for reaching out to schedule a visit for the Bergen Volunteers CHORE service. In order for us to respond to your request please fill out the following short survey so that we can better serve you.
Please note:
- We are scheduling 4-6 weeks out
- Our volunteers are not licensed plumbers or electricians.
- There is NO charge for labor; we charge for cost of materials only. Donations are welcome.
- Our service hours are Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
- For grab bars, we cannot install on granite, marble, or fiberglass/bath fitters
- We carry an inventory of grab bars that you can purchase on the day of your appointment or you can provide a grab bar that our crew will install
- We do not service emergencies
- We do not do any outdoor work, painting, glass work, tiling, new wiring/plumbing, or appliance repair
- We do not remove furniture or appliances.
- This program is designed for home owners. Repairs for apartment dwellers are limited and need the advanced approval of the landlord
