The Department’s Early Learning Team, in collaboration with staff from the Education Data Services team, will be providing technical assistance on the state’s Early Childhood Experiences data element (DOE050), which was added to Student Information Management System (SIMS) in the 2018-19 school year. A webinar on the data element, along with technical assistance on how to collect the information needed to report in SIMS, will be offered on two different dates for early childhood coordinators, elementary principals, data administrators and any other staff responsible for SIMS data collection.
Additionally, the Early Learning team will be hosting office hours during the week of September 30th for districts who want to speak with staff individually about data collection efforts related to this element. The team will offer a one hour webinar to review the data element, provide technical assistance and answer questions that districts may have about the process. The webinar will be offered on two different dates. If you are interested in participating in the webinar on one of the dates, please select the date/time that works best for you. We will send instructions for logging onto and calling into the webinar 2-3 days prior to the selected date.
During the week of September 30th, the Early Learning team will also be hosting office hours for districts that want to talk with a member about the data element, local processes for implementing the family survey, reporting the data, etc. If you are interested in talking with a team member individually, please select the day and time of day that works best for you.
