2020 Out Women in Business Steering Committee Application

Out Women in Business (OWIB) was launched in 2015 to raise the visibility and connectivity of lesbian, bisexual and transgender women in business (at all levels, regardless of an MBA). Since then the event has become a marquee program for Reaching Out attracting speakers including Tammy Smith, Roberta Kaplan and Annise Parker. In 2020 we will look to further grow the event’s attendance & reputation. The 2020 OWIB Conference is scheduled to be held in mid-February in NYC.

The OWIB team, which is made half of professionals and half of MBA graduate students, sets the conference's theme, breakout & plenary content, and works with Reaching Out's full-time staff on the logistics and marketing for the event.

Commitment wise Out Women in Business will involve virtual team meetings (generally 1 hour) every 2-3 weeks starting in late November. The busiest period of the planning process will be the 6 weeks leading up to the conference. All travel and planning expenses are paid for the team.
