Young People Survey 2019

Highland Youth Work Review 2019 - Young People

Youth Workers encourage young people and their peers to take part in positive learning opportunities, empowering them to have a voice and develop skills and knowledge to get on in life.

A new 5 year Youth Work Strategy for Highland has recently been agreed and endorsed by the key youth work organisations across Highland – and much of it was informed by the young people survey a year ago – thank you very much if you contributed.

We would be grateful for a few minutes of your time to answer the following questions. This will help us to see how well we are doing and where we can improve. It will also help the youth work partners create an Action Plan to put flesh to the new Strategy.

We've included a link below to the YouthLink Scotland statement on the nature and purpose of youth work to remind us all what is and isn't youth work. We've also presented the three defining features of youth work below to help too.

The information you provide is completely anonymous. Thank You!

Youth Work has three essential and definitive features:
  • Young people choose to participate
  • The work must build from where young people are
  • Youth Work recognises the young person and the youh worker as partners in a learning process
