DEGEF - Composting Site Visit

Composting Facility Site Visit Sign Up

Join the DC Greening Embassies Forum on Wednesday, November 6, from 2-4PM at the Prince George’s County Organic Composting Facility (6550 Maude Savoy Brown Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD). We will tour their site, hear about their composting operations, and learn how your organization can reduce landfill contributions by incorporating compositing into your waste management plans.  We will also introduce you to the DCGEF’s Face the Waste Campaign where we will be challenging DC’s diplomatic community to reduce waste and increase recycling!

Please sign up for the composting site visit on November 6th below before 5PM, Friday, November 1 (attendees will be provided further instructions via email). If we have more people sign up than we are able to accommodate, we will create a wait list and organize additional site visits or if there will be inclement weather we will schedule a rain date. Attendees will be walking outside for about 45 - 60 minutes, so please dress for the weather. Photos will be allowed.

Please be advised, attendees are responsible for transportation to to site. Please be prepared to be on time, as we will start our tour promptly.
