Workplace Mental Health Temperature Check

Page One

How mentally healthy is your workplace?

We spend a good amount of our lives at work, so a stressful and unpleasant workplace can seriously impact your mental wellbeing.

Like physical risks to health and safety, your employer has a primary duty of care for your psychological well-being. While many employers have programs and policies to encourage self-care and resilience, less focus is paid to the health of the workplace itself.

Risks to your mental well-being may include under-resourcing, lack of job clarity, long hours or a work culture that allows bullying and other unacceptable behaviours to thrive.

This health check is based on the Safe Work Australia guidance on work-related psychological health and safety.  The survey is designed to draw attention to common psychological risks and hazards in your workplace.

The check takes only a few minutes to complete and we ask that your provide your details and return to your workplace delegate. This will help us to decide where to focus our resources in the future, working with members to improve mental well-being in workplace.

If you have any questions, please speak to your local delegate, CPSU organiser or email Defence.CPSU@cpsu.org.au

If you’re not doing ok, it’s important to seek help.
