Application for Ambassadors

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to serve as a Greater Mankato Growth Ambassador. The entire board and staff at Greater Mankato Growth appreciate the time and energy you could bring to our organization and community. This volunteer opportunity is also very beneficial to you and your business we often have more volunteers who want to join the Ambassadors than we have openings available. Therefore, we ask that you complete the information on the next page and consider your ability to commit to the following expectations. Openings are limited and filled annually or as needed throughout the year after applications have been reviewed with the leadership committee.

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Greater Mankato Ambassadors is to be the greeting arm of Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. to promote the community and encourage expansion of established businesses and the development of new businesses in Greater Mankato.

Purpose:
Ambassadors assist GMG staff by celebrating business achievements within the community such as but not limited to: new leadership, new business openings, expansions, renovations, groundbreakings, open houses, anniversaries, and new locations.

Ambassadors Requirements: (on average your commitment is generally 2-3 hours per month within Monday-Friday business hours)

I agree to attend at least 75% of all monthly Ambassador meetings which are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at various member restaurants to share business insights that we’ve gained from our visits and to build new leads for the Ambassador call list. Attendance is expected of all Ambassadors. (9 out of 12 months)
I will make it a priority to attend Ambassador All-Call events throughout the year. These are scheduled at the convenience of businesses to celebrate their milestones, grand openings, expansions, ground breakings and ribbon cutting ceremonies.
I agree to attend 2 business visits each month to welcome new businesses to the area.
