The entire board and staff at Greater Mankato Growth appreciate the time and energy you will bring to our organization and community. This volunteer opportunity is also beneficial to you and your business, and we often have more members who want to join the Cavaliers than we have spots available. Therefore, we ask that you complete the information on the next page and consider your ability to commit to the following expectations.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Greater Mankato Growth Cavaliers is to be the welcoming committee of Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. to encourage new members to become and stay active in their membership.
Purpose:
Cavaliers assist GMG staff with welcoming new members and engaging existing members to Greater Mankato Growth through new member visits, phone calls, and event participation.
Cavalier Requirements: (on average a commitment of generally 3-4 hours per month)
- Attend 75% of all monthly Cavalier meetings which are held the 1st Tuesday of the month at various member restaurants to share information gathered at new member visits, volunteer for upcoming event assistance, and learn about upcoming events. (9 out of 12 months)
- Attend 2 business visits per month using your own form of transportation to visit locations to welcome new members with priority to an assigned team.
- Attend and assist with 50% of GMG networking events (Examples: Business After Hours, Greater Mankato on the Green)
- Make 1 phone call per month to invite new members to events or perform business retention calls.
