I understand that my electric bill will include an increase of 1.6 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) with PILOTS* to help cover the costs of purchasing renewable energy. I understand I will be notified of price changes and will be given an opportunity to change my subscription at that time. I understand that if, at some time in the future, I am no longer a customer of Fort Collins Utilities for any reason, I will be under no further obligation.

*PILOTs: A 6% PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) has been added to electric, green energy, water and wastewater rates. This is a payment to the City’s general fund to replace revenue the City would receive from the Utilities in taxes and franchise fees if the utilities were privately owned. Without PILOTs, the Green Energy Program rate is 1.5 cents per kWh.
