2020 National Teach Ag Day Kit Host   

The National Association of Agricultural Educators through the National Teach Ag Campaign is looking for agricultural educators who are willing and able to host 2020 National Teach Ag Day activities in classrooms across the country on Thursday, September 17, 2020. National Teach Ag Day is an initiative of the National Teach Ag Campaign designed to encourage others to consider a career teaching agriculture and celebrate the positive contributions agriculture teachers make in our schools and communities. 

What? 
Participate in the National Teach Ag Day live webcast with your students (secondary or post-secondary).

Why? 
To showcase the benefits and rewards of teaching agriculture. 

Who? 
Secondary and post-secondary agricultural educators across the country. The National Teach Ag Campaign would like to have a minimum of one educator in every state participating with their kit on Thursday, September 17, 2020 between 11am-1:30pm PDT. 

Where? 
The National Teach Ag Campaign will be live webcasting from Portland, Oregon. The kits will be distributed to selected teachers in August to use leading up to and during the 2020 National Teach Ag Day live webcast. 

When? 
  • Thursday, September 17, 2020 - National Teach Ag Day

  • Promotional flyers and posters for your classroom
  • Tagged giveaway to tag students who should become ag teachers 
  • Celebratory door skin
  • Lapel pins
  • Buttons 
  • Ribbons
  • Interactive notebooks
  • Remote engagement system 
  • All printouts 
  • Mini white boards 
  • Activities with materials and instructions for activities 
  • And much more! 
Requirements for all kit hosts: 
  • Active participation throughout the day on September 17, 2020 from you (agriculture teacher or teacher educator) and at least two students. 
  • Access to the live webcast in your classroom (can view via the naae.org website and/or Facebook)
  • At least one device with access to social media on September 17, 2020 
  • Ability to share updates and real time information with National Teach Ag Campaign through social, media, text or email. 
Timeline: 
  • December 2, 2019 - April 5, 2020 Kit enrollment period 
  • May, 2020 Host kit sites contacted 
  • August 2020 Kits mailed to host sites, host sites review contents 
  • August/September 2020 Host sites promoted 
  • August 2020 - Host site technology tests 
  • Week of September 14 - Host sites use kit contents to begin National Teach Ag Day celebration preparation 
  • September 17, 2020 - National Teach Ag Day Celebration and live webcast engagement
