Partners for Adult Learner Success (PALS)

Adult and Community Learning Services (ACLS) is seeking seven adult education practitioners to join its Partner for Adult Learner Success (PALS). These educators should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: adult education ESOL and/or ABE curriculum development, ESOL and/or ABE instruction, ABE and/or ESOL assessment and instructional leadership, teaching adult ESOL learners with limited or interrupted formal education. The goal of PALS is to advise ACLS on policies and technical assistance related to curriculum, instruction and assessment.
Members of this group should demonstrate:
  1. Relevant experience in any of the areas highlighted above;
  2. A commitment to five conference calls per year. Each call is projected to be one hour long;
  3. A commitment to serve in the group for a minimum of one year;
  4. A commitment to review short materials in preparation for the conference calls; and
  5. A commitment to equity for all students.

Members will be selected based on the diversity of their experience, background and type of adult education service provider. ACLS anticipates to notify prospective members by February 15, 2020.
