Aspiring Professionals Programme: Student Application Form 2021

Aspiring Professionals Programme Application 2021

Please check the eligibility criteria and guidance on our website carefully before applying. After you complete this page an option to 'Save and continue later' will appear on the bottom right corner of the window. Please carefully enter your email address to receive a unique link to save and continue your application in stages as the form is long and if you close your window you could have to start again. This email may appear in your spam folder. We also recommend that you draft and save your essay answers offline. Please note you can only submit one application, but you can get in touch afterwards if you would like to update any details.

The strands of the APP you can apply for depend on where you live. You will be able to select either APP City or APP Reach, and if you're based outside London one APP Residential on the form.

APP City is for students in living within 60-minutes of Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester, 90-minutes of Cardiff, Glasgow and Newcastle, and within the M25 boundary for London who are interested in one of our 11 career sectors. Please see our website here for more information.

APP Residential is for students anywhere in the UK outside of London who would like an insight into a specific sector with a top employer from that field. Please note, if government guidelines allow, the work experience element on this programme will be a face to face residential in London (or Middlesbrough for the Medicine Insight) and students will receive a mentor from that organisation, skill development workshops and university application support and guidance. Please therefore only apply to an APP Residential if you would like to attend in person next summer. If government guidance does not allow the residential to take place in person, virtual support will be provided.

Students outside of London can apply to APP City and one of the following:

  • APP BP Engineering Programme – for students interested in engineering
  • APP J.P. Morgan Digital Programme – for students interested in computer science, financial technology, cyber security, coding and system design
  • APP J.P. Morgan Finance Programme – for students interested in banking and finance, investment banking, mathematics and economics
  • APP KPMG Accountancy Programme – for students interested in accountancy and professional services
  • APP Law Insight Programme – for students interested in pursuing law (employer partners are Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Herbert Smith Freehills, White and Case and Akin Gump)
  • APP Neil Stevens Fellowship Digital Programme – for students interested in gaming, system design, coding (employers featured in the past have been Dropbox, Facebook, Amazon, FarFetch and more)
  • APP PA Consulting Springboard Programme – for students interested in general business, consultancy, politics, and sustainability. This work experience programme is shaped around the UN Sustainable goals.
  • APP Medicine Insight Programme – for students (living in England, outside London only) who are interested in pursuing Medicine

APP Reach is for students anywhere in the UK outside of London who meet the criteria outlined on our website here.
