Can you help women in Manningham to get moving?
We are looking for local sporting clubs and organisations in Manningham to join us and take part in the 2020 This Girl Can campaign.
This Girl Can week will run from 23 to 29 March 2020 and we’re looking for sporting clubs that can offer trial sessions or other programs to help increase female participating in sport.
Suggested programs for sporting clubs include:
- Host a 'come and try' session during the week
- Provide low cost or free beginner sessions at your facility or club
- Engage a coach to run 30 minute sessions throughout the week and invite women to attend and try out your activities
About This Girl CanThis Girl Can is a state wide marketing campaign that is designed to increase the participation levels of girls and women across Victoria in sport and active recreation.
This Girl Can is here to celebrate and support Victorian women in embracing physical activity in a way that suits them, whether it’s a little or a lot.
Victorian women have identified that one of the reasons they not trying new activities or getting involved in sport is a fear of being judged, or not being fit enough to start.
Moving and making time for our health doesn’t need to be a chore. There are so many options, and Manningham is on a mission to help the women in our community find something that is right for them.

To assist your club or organisation in attracting participants, we will be actively advertise your activities through our channels and there is an opportunity for you to access merchandise and social media tools.
