Competition Terms and Conditions

You are invited to take part in a survey about the Bay Cycling Classic 2020. This survey should only take a few minutes to complete.
Your answers to this survey will be used by the City of Greater Geelong.

The results will be used to understand the value of the event to our local community; how to shape and possibly make improvements to upcoming events.
 

The personal information requested on this form is being collected by City of Greater Geelong for the purpose of Bay Cycling Classic 2020 or any other directly related purpose. If the personal information is not collected, the participant wil not be eligible to enter the competition. We will not disclose your personal information without your consent, except where required to do so by law. Our privacy policy is available on our website. By participating in this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
The Promoter is the Greater Geelong City Council.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Entry into the competition is limited to one entry per person.
Entry is open to persons 18 years of age and over who attended the Bay Cycling Classic 2020 event in January 2020.
To enter this competition, you must complete the event survey.
The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter the competition repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
The competition commences on Friday 3 January and closes on Thursday 30 January.
One winner will be determined by draw and will receive a Coles Myer Voucher valued at $50.
The prize draw will take place at the Promoter’s office at 100 Brougham Street on Friday 31 January.
The prize winner will be notified by Tuesday 4 February via telephone and then email. The Promoter’s decision is final and conclusive.
The prize will be deemed unclaimed if it is not collected as and when directed by the Promoter.
A further draw for the prizes, if unclaimed, may take place on [insert date at least 1 week after initial draw] at the same place as the competition draw, but this is subject to change.
If this competition is interfered with in any way, or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
(a) to disqualify any entrant; or
(b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition, as appropriate.
The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
The Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including but not limited to, the following:
(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
(b) any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference;
(c) any entry, prize or claim for a prize that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether before or after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
(d) any variation in prize value from that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
(e) any tax liability (including FBT) incurred by an entrant or winner; or
(f) use of the prize.
