On February 14, 2020, the League of Women Voters celebrated100 years of empowering voters and defending democracy. Since our founding, our organization has attracted a tenacious and powerful membership focused on realizing the potential of our democracy. All across the country, the Leagues commemorated our 100th anniversary and demonstrated our League power through a coordinated Day of Action!
We demonstrated our League power with League Action. Over 330 Leagues from Alaska to Hong Kong participated in our Day of Action. With the 2020 presidential election, the decennial Census and redistricting approaching, 2020 marks a critical year—not just for us—but for our entire country. We let our communities know that we fought hard for 100 years and are prepared to fight hard for 100 more.
