Please fill out the form below to be considered for the 2020 Foodservice Pioneering Concept design competition. If chosen, your concept will be built out on the show floor during the 2020 HX: The Hotel Experience, November 9-10 at the Javits Center in NYC. All submissions will be judged by five independent judges (click here for further info on judges, prizes and contest details). This will be a blind competition and the judges will not have information on the designer or their company to ensure the design is judged on merit and innovation. Application deadline has been extended to May 29, 2020.

STATEMENT BY ENTRANT

In entering the HX show competition for 2020 Foodservice Pioneering Concept idea, I attest to the accuracy of the information contained in the application and all accompanying materials. I have thoroughly read all the rules and requirements for the contest and agree to abide by all criteria.

I further attest and warrant that I am fully authorized to submit this entry as my own project or on behalf of the designer(s), and that I have the right (1) to utilize the photographs in all promotional matters undertaken by Emerald, HX: The Hotel Experience and the sponsoring organizations, and (2) to assign permission for the use of the photographs in the sponsoring magazines and in the New Foodservice Concept Gallery.

When (“you”) provide Emerald X, LLC (“Emerald”) any text, graphics, photos, videos, or other material subject to copyright or other intellectual property protection (collectively, "Content"), you grant Emerald a worldwide, non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, broadcast, make available, store and archive such Content (in whole or in part), utilizing any and all media now known or hereinafter devised. You represent and warrant that: (i) the Content is yours (you own it and hold the copyright) or you have the legal right and license to use the Content and to grant Emerald the right and license to use the Content as provided herein, (ii) Emerald will not need to obtain licenses or permissions from any third party or pay compensation or royalties to any third party with respect to the Content; (iii) the Content does not infringe any third party rights (including, but not limited to, copyright, the right of publicity or privacy, or any other intellectual property right), and (iv) the Content complies, and you comply, with all applicable laws related to the subject matter herein. You agree to indemnify, defend (with legal counsel selected by Emerald), and hold Emerald and its affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, employees and assigns, harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and collection costs) and expenses which result from or arise out of or in connection with (i) the breach of any of your representations, warranties, agreements, covenants, promises or other obligations or (ii) any violation by you of any law or ordinance (whether alleged or actual), including, but not limited to, the infringement of any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary right of any third party.

Notwithstanding, I agree to indemnify, defend and protect each and Emerald and Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine (collectively “Sponsors”) against, and hold each and any of the Sponsors harmless from any and all claims, demands, suits, liability, damages, loss, costs, attorney’s fees and expenses of whatever kind or nature which might result from the competition.

While every precautionary measure will be taken to protect all materials entered into the competition, I understand that the Sponsors are not responsible for any materials submitted. I agree to accept the judges’ decision regarding the outcome of this competition.
