Private School Notification of Emergency Waiver in Response to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The State Board of Education has been granted authority by the Legislature to waive instructional hour or school day requirements for private schools and allow schools to waive graduation requirements for individual students for the 2019-20 school year. Please complete the following questions to notify the State Board of Education of your private school's use of this waiver program.

Please exercise this waiver authority for individual students before it expires on July 31, 2020. Please complete this notification of the use of the emergency waiver by September 30, 2020.

5. Will the private school use the waiver for credit-based graduation requirements for individual students who were on track to graduate?

Note: This waiver allows for excusal of remaining state credit unit graduation requirements for individual senior students who are on track to graduate. Private schools are able to waive any local graduation requirements that are above minimum state graduation requirements.  *This question is required.
