Financial Assistance Grant Request - EFCER Pastor Assistance

Grant Criteria

Our denomination has been blessed with up to $5,000 financial assistance grants to help our recorded or licensed lead pastors with personal needs such as paying down student loans, medical bills or unique circumstances. Depending on the availability of funds, grants may also be available for full-time staff pastors. Grants are contingent on the availability of funds to pastors who meet the following criteria:

I am recorded or licensed staff pastor who participates in EFCER’s pension plan.
My church has submitted the most recent statistical report to EFC-ER.
I have visited our denomination’s NAEfinancialhealth.org/efcer and created a sign-up/sign-in account and reviewed the free online training opportunities.
I have chosen a lay leader who has gone to NAEfinancialhealth.org/efcer, created a sign-up/sign-in account and has reviewed the free online training opportunities.
I (and spouse) agree to complete the One-Session Bless Your Finances training.
2. My church board (or at least three designated people) have completed or agree to complete within 12 months at least one of the following CHURCH GENEROSITY ONLINE TRAININGs with the lead pastor:
 
  • One-session Bless Your Pastor – This is to be completed by the church board or 3+ lay leaders. The list of 50 Ways to Bless Your Pastor (or Pastor and Staff) must be shared with church families and the church must collect an appreciation offering.
 
  • One-session Generous Life Devotional – This should be completed by the pastor, 3+ lay leaders or board and the 40-day devotional must be shared with church families.
 
  • One-session Bless Your Church – This should be completed by the pastor, 3+ lay leaders or board and the legacy brochure must be shared with church families.
 
  • Six-session Church Generosity training – This course must be completed by pastor and 3+ lay leaders or board. In addition to the grant money offered, EFCER will send a $100 eGift card to the senior pastor.
