5. LM is a 27-year-old MSM who presents to your clinic and is interested in starting PrEP medication. He is currently not in an exclusive relationship, has sex approximately once a week, and uses condoms most of the time. On exam you notice many track marks on his left arm and upon further questioning he discloses that for the past year he has been using intravenous heroin daily. All laboratory test results come back normal and his HIV test comes back negative, but he tests positive for hepatitis B (HBV) and syphilis.
