Remote Learning Partner Interest Survey

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) The Initial Fall School Reopening Guidance outlines requirements and considerations for fall reopening plans with the goal of safely returning as many students as possible to in-person school settings to maximize learning and address students’ holistic needs. The Initial Fall School Reopening Guidance requires districts and schools to prepare a plan that includes three learning models: in-person learning with safety requirements, a hybrid model of in-person and remote learning, and a plan for full-time remote learning. Remote learning will be necessary for students who will not be attending school in-person, as part of a hybrid learning model, and in case changing COVID-19 conditions require a shift to full remote learning as determined by local and state leaders.

On July 24, DESE released its Remote Learning Guidance for Fall 2020. This guidance document outlined five different models districts could consider when developing plans for remote learning in the fall. In every model, districts and schools are ultimately responsible for the overall student learning experience so that all students are appropriately engaged, making academic progress, and have the resources and support they need throughout the year.

Please use this survey to indicate your interest in two of the models outlined- Option 4: Purchase courses through Commonwealth Virtual Schools (CMVS) and Option 5: Purchase licenses for a Learning Management System (LMS) with full course content included.

Please respond by Friday, August 7th.

DESE will provide aggregated data from this survey (no individual information will be shared) to the CMVS and LMS partners to aid in their planning to support your districts.
